What Was It That You Were Saying About Beauty

This painting addresses issues with body image and asks what society considers beautiful. Most people with body image issues hardly see their experience reflected in art or understood.

This piece is part of a series titled "Naration Of Joy", a visual language shaped by lived experience where colour, joy, and vulnerability meet. This series explores the complexity of how we are seen, how we see ourselves, and the stories our bodies hold.
Each work is an invitation to sit with what remains unresolved, to see the beauty in discomfort, strength in vulnerability, and meaning in parts of ourselves that are often left unspoken.
I created this series with the intention that it will be pieces to live with, return to daily, and discover something new over time.
